This time we are invited to a "Weekend-Mini-Bake" to Painton Place, a gorgeous 18th-century house in Norfolk. Fortunately it turned out, that only two of us have to do all the cooking and baking, so the rest could just sit down and enjoy an elaborate afternoon tea. Initially the celebrity chef Franny Craddock should have joined us, but guess what! He was found dead, murdered even, late on saturday night. So suspicion falls on us, particularly when something like a "Painton Plunder" (some kind of indian treasure) was involved. Well, let's sit down, grab a bite, have some tea and do all the sleuthing ourselves.
